The AutoPilot-Dx consortium comprises world renowned leaders in pediatric infectious diseases, affiliated with two EU institutions active in conducting pioneering clinical research:
Prof. Dr. Susanna Esposito - Full Professor of Pediatrics, Director of Pediatric Section & Pediatric Clinic, Director of Specialty School of Pediatrics, University of Perugia, Italy.
Prof. Esposito is also President of the World Association for Infectious Diseases and Immunological Disorders (WAidid), President of the WHO Committee for measles and rubella eradication and Chair of the Vaccines Group of the European Society for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (EVASG). She has been International Editor of The Paediatric Infectious Disease Journal (since 2005), Associate Editor of BMC Infectious Diseases (since 2009), Associate Editor of Human Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics (since 2010), Associate Editor of Journal of Clinical Virology (since 2012) and Editorial Board Member of PLOS One (since 2013). Prof. Esposito’s research has focused on respiratory tract infections, emerging infections, vaccines, and antibiotic therapy.
Prof. Dr. Tobias Tenenbaum - Head Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Pulmonology Unit, University Hospital Mannheim, Germany; Former Treasurer of the European Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID); and former Secretary of the German Society of Pediatric Infectious Diseases (DGPI). Currently, he is task force member of the German Antibiotic Steward Stewardship group of the DGPI. Prof. Tenenbaum is an expert advisor of the German national vaccine advisory committee (STIKO), board member of the several national guideline committees (e.g. for community acquired pneumonia), board member of international journals (e.g. Pediatric Infectious Diseases Journal) and reviewer for numerous national and international clinical and basic research journals. His research interests focus on pathogenesis of bacterial and viral meningitis, infections of the upper and lower airways by bacterial and viral pathogens, vaccine and preventive pediatrics, and zoonotic infections.

MeMed Diagnostics, Israel, the architect of AutoPilot-Dx, brings years of deep domain knowledge in development, clinical validation and productization of host-based diagnostic tools, with specifically relevant experience successfully bringing the ImmunoXpert™ from idea to regulatory approval (CE-IVD).
